Trench Collapse Kills Alamo, Texas Construction Worker

A 25 year old construction worker died when the walls of the trench he was working in collapsed and pinned him to a sewer main.  Rigoberto Tovar was working to install a storm sewer line about 10 feet underground near the intersection of South Tower and Ridge Roads in Alamo, Texas when the construction accident occurred.  Tovar was standing in a 6 foot deep trench when the earthen walls gave way and knocked him into the sewer main.  Four other workers were nearby when the death occurred.Tovar was working for M Construction of McAllen, Texas which was hired as a private contractor for the project.  The Occupational Safety and Health Administration  – OSHA- is conducting an investigation.Although Tovar was a Mexican National, Texas laws allow his heirs to bring a wrongful death claim.  If you or a family member has been hurt on the job or suffered a wrongful death due to negligence or gross negligence, contact Burwell Nebout Trial Lawyers today, we are on YOUR side.
